The sky seems to be in the same mood as his. All dull and grey. He just sat there facing towards the clouds as if they will tell him what to do. The clouds didn't give any answer, but instead, it started to rain. The drops of rain made his heart even colder, the faded sky slowly darkened his sight. There was nothing but the sound of rain beating down and his heart replying the rain...
He was tired. Tired of the changing weather in his life. He was exhausted. Exhausted from the journey to the peak. He was weary. Weary for the scars from the past. His last drop of energy to fight off this feeling was drained by this gloomy shower. His eyes closed, his heart sank, his body collapsed.... The drips of rain was replaced by pure silence. Not even his breathing could be heard.
He was terrified of this silence. Even the worn-out heart started to pump faster. He climbed back up on his feet and shouted at the top of his lungs. But no ears hear him, no eyes see him. So he sat down and waited. Waited for the sound that will break the silence....
It came eventually, though it was short and swift. But it doesn't matter. It broke all silence around him. He jumped up as fast as he could and reached for the sound, hoping that he could grasp it in his hands. But he couldn't. The sound was gone, but so was the silence.
The roar of the last thunder woke him up. The rain turned into a giant storm. He looked out to the dark sky but not with the same feeling as before. He knew there and then that he could ride through the storm, and the after it is the heart-warming sun taking over the land again.
The sound was gone, but so was the silence... The thrill had ended, but so was the fear....
He knew the time had come for him to move on... towards the end of the storm....
